Spring has officially sprung here in the South. The days are getting longer, the pollen is officially everywhere, and Q1 is rapidly coming to a close.

By this time of year, that "New Year, New Me" business energy has usually worn off. If your 2026 growth goals are starting to collect a little dust, it's time to break out the broom.

This month, we are talking about sweeping out the digital cobwebs, auditing your strategy, and making sure your brand is ready to bloom in Q2.

Let’s get to cleaning.

Polish Up Your Digital Curb Appeal

If you own a brick-and-mortar shop, you wouldn't leave a broken sign hanging over the door, let the paint peel off the siding, or leave last year's holiday decorations in the window. You know that physical "curb appeal" dictates whether a customer walks in or keeps driving.

So why are you letting your digital storefront fall apart?

Your website, your Google Business Profile, and your social channels are the front door to your business. If a potential customer searches for you and finds broken links, a copyright footer from 2021, and a team page featuring people who quit three years ago, they are going to bounce.

Your Spring Cleaning Checklist: Take 30 minutes this week to do a quick sweep of your digital footprint:

  1. Google Business Profile: Are your hours accurate? Have you replied to recent reviews? Add some fresh photos of your team or your work.

  2. Website Links: Click through your own website. Does the contact form actually work? Do all the social media icons at the bottom go to the right place?

  3. The "Sniff" Test: Read the first paragraph of your homepage. Does it clearly explain what you do and who you serve, or is it filled with outdated corporate jargon?

A little digital pressure washing goes a long way in turning casual scrollers into paying clients.

Out & About in Tupelo

We spend a lot of time behind our screens building digital strategies, but this past month, we made it a point to trade our keyboards for some community connection.

We’ve had a blast getting out of the office and spending time with our neighbors. Here are a few places you might have spotted the Vitality South crew recently:

  • JA Charity Ball: We were incredibly proud to sponsor the Junior Auxiliary of Tupelo's Charity Ball! It was a fantastic night getting dressed to the nines and supporting an organization that does so much for our local kids.

  • Tupelo Young Professionals: We loved connecting, networking, and sharing ideas with the next generation of local business leaders at the recent TYP Forty Below event.

  • Tupelo High School: We had the opportunity to talk digital media, marketing, and career goals with some incredibly bright students at the THS Journalism Career Fair. (Spoiler alert: The future is in very good hands!)

  • The W's B.L.U.E. Panel: Our President, Ashley Elkins, took a quick trip down to Columbus to speak at her alma mater, Mississippi University for Women! She served on the annual B.L.U.E. professional development panel, sharing her journey and insights on "Pivot with a Purpose: Thriving Through Change and Challenge." We always love seeing her mentor the next generation of purpose-driven business leaders.
